Ladies and gentleman, to the ears of dearisrael.com, we've never heard sweeter words: Study: U.S. Middle East policy motivated by pro-Israel lobby
"The U.S. Middle East policy is not in America's national interest and is motivated primarily by the country's pro-Israel lobby, according to a study published Thursday by researchers from Harvard University and the University of Chicago."
Ahem. That's right bitches, I said "ahem". Let me repeat in case you missed:
“NOT IN AMERICA'S NATIONAL INTERESTS”
“MOTIVATED PRIMARILY BY THE COUNTRY'S PRO-ISRAEL LOBBY“
As if that were not splendid enough, which, really, who are we kidding, its so very splendid coming from Harvard and U. of Chicago instead of just me... I further quoth:
"No lobby has managed to divert U.S. foreign policy as far from what the American national interest would otherwise suggest, while simultaneously convincing Americans that U.S. and Israeli interests are essentially identical," write the authors of the study.....
“More important, saying that Israel and the US are united by a shared terrorist threat has the causal relationship backwards: the US has a terrorism problem in good part because it is so closely allied with Israel, not the other way around.“
Sweet lord in heaven. Messers Mearsheimer and Walt, hats off to you sirs. My platonic love for you knows no bounds. Seriously, there is so much goodness in the London Review of Books article that I simply cannot continue to speak to any of you anymore if you don't take 5 minutes out of your day to read it.
